As a user of Tensorent.cloud, you are expected to adhere to the following ethical guidelines:
- Respect for Resources: Use the provided GPU resources responsibly and efficiently. Avoid any activities that could unnecessarily consume resources or negatively impact other users.
- No Malicious Activity: Do not use our services for any illegal or harmful activities, including but not limited to:
- Distributing malware or viruses.
- Engaging in unauthorized access (hacking) of any systems.
- Participating in denial-of-service attacks.
- Cryptocurrency mining without explicit prior written consent. (This is *very* important; cloud providers often have strict policies against unauthorized mining.)
- Any activity that violates applicable local, national, or international laws.
- Data Privacy: Respect the privacy of others. Do not attempt to access or share data that you are not authorized to handle.
- Intellectual Property: Respect intellectual property rights. Do not use our services to infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or other proprietary rights.
- Prohibited Content: Do not use the services to create, store or transmit:
- Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable.
- Content that exploits, harms, or attempts to exploit or harm minors in any way.
- Compliance with Terms of Service: Adhere to all terms and conditions outlined in our Terms of Service agreement.
Legal Actions and Consequences
Violation of these ethical guidelines and our Terms of Service may result in the following consequences:
- Account Suspension/Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account without prior notice if you engage in prohibited activities.
- Resource Limitation: We may limit your access to resources if your usage is deemed excessive or harmful.
- Legal Action: For serious violations, we may pursue legal action, including reporting your activities to the appropriate authorities. This includes, but is not limited to, violations of copyright law, data protection regulations, and laws related to computer misuse.
- Data Loss: In cases of account termination due to violations, you may lose access to your data stored on our servers. We are not responsible for data loss in such circumstances.
- Cooperation with Law Enforcement: We will fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies in investigations related to illegal activities conducted using our services. This may involve disclosing user information as required by law.
Specific Examples of Legal Actions
- Copyright Infringement: If you use our services to distribute copyrighted material without permission, you may be subject to legal action by the copyright holder. This could include financial penalties and legal fees.
- Data Breach: If your actions lead to a data breach, you may be held liable for damages under data protection laws like GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) or CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act).
- Illegal Activities: Engaging in any illegal activity using our services can result in criminal charges and prosecution.
- Cryptocurrency Mining Violations: Unauthorized cryptocurrency mining can lead to immediate account termination and potential legal action from our underlying cloud infrastructure provider.
Reporting Violations
If you believe another user is violating these guidelines or engaging in illegal activities, please report it to us immediately at legal@tensorent.cloud. Provide as much detail as possible, including any relevant evidence. We take all reports seriously and will investigate accordingly.
